Native Space Plants Seeds of Change

Native Space is proud to be featured in Inside Construction in the article “Native Space Plants Seeds of Change.” The piece highlights our journey so far and the role we are playing in shaping some of Victoria’s most enduring public environments.

In less than two years, our team has delivered projects ranging from wetlands and sports ovals to civic landscapes and neighbourhood parks. Whether planting 97,000 native species at Epping’s 4Ten Wetlands or laying 7,600 square metres of turf at Smiths Park, our focus remains the same: creating spaces that bring communities together and stand the test of time.

As our Business Unit Manager, Tom Earle, explained in his interview, “While streetscapes enhance a neighbourhood’s visual appeal, it’s parks, playgrounds, sporting grounds and open spaces where we see our most lasting influence. These places outlast infrastructure, becoming part of daily routines and local identity.”

The article also recognises the expertise, technical precision and innovation that underpin every Native Space project - from bridging the transition between civil and landscape phases, to delivering large-scale community infrastructure and providing long-term maintenance.

For us, landscaping is more than the final touch on a project. It is the beginning of places where people connect, create memories, and build community identity.
